Summer Season

Youth Boys

Summer Lacrosse That Fits Your Family Schedule

Arlington Attack’s Summer Season is a focused, high-energy extension of the spring that keeps sticks in hands and players improving—without the full spring-level time commitment. The program is built around 8–10 practices and one tournament weekend, offering meaningful development, strong team culture, and competitive reps in a streamlined summer format.

Primary focus: player development, fundamentals, and game IQ—so athletes return to fall/spring sharper and more confident.

Program Snapshot

  • Teams: U8, U10, U12, U14 Boys
  • Practice plan: 8–10 total practices
  • Cadence: typically 1 practice per week; some weeks may include 2 practices to fit the full training plan within the season window
  • Season window: June through mid-July
  • Primary location: Melas Lacrosse Field
  • Tournament: 1 tournament weekend (TBD)
    • We are currently considering Pipe City, The Good Land Field Invitational, or Rip the Wave. Tournament selection will be communicated once finalized.

Who Is This For?

The summer season is a great fit for both returning players and newcomers to the game. Practices are designed to meet players where they are—reinforcing fundamentals, building confidence, and adding game-ready skills through high-rep drills and small-sided play.

What Players Will Work On

Summer practices emphasize high-touch development and game-like learning:
• Stick skills: throwing, catching, ground balls, protecting the stick, shooting fundamentals
• Footwork & athletic movement: dodging basics, change of direction, approach angles, body positioning
• Team concepts: spacing, transitions, clearing/riding concepts (age-appropriate)
• Small-sided play: more touches, quicker decisions, more reps
• Game IQ: situational awareness, fundamentals under pressure, and smart play
