2026 Spring Season

Arlington Attack's overall philosophy is to place players on a team with others of similar grade and skill which aligns with league rules and guidelines.  Below is a breakdown of the divisions by grade.

• K - 2nd Grade
  • Boys: Minis
  • Girls: U8 Girls
• 3rd & 4th Grade
  • Boys: Juniors
  • Girls: U10 Girls
• 5th & 6th Grade
  • Boys: Minors
  • Girls: U12 Girls
• 7th & 8th Grade
  • Boys: Majors
  • Girls: U14 Girls

Arlington Attack’s Policy when there is more than one (1) team at any age group:

• The first team will be made of players from the oldest grade (i.e, Majors all 8th Graders)
• The second team will be made of players mostly from the younger grade level (i.e, Majors 7th Grade)
  • Coaches of this team will have the option to take any players from the first team (older grade level) who did not make that team.
• If there is a third (3rd) team at an age level, it will be a combination of both grade levels.

2026 Uniform Store Link

*** The Attack 2026 Spring Season Uniform Store Closes February 1st, 2026! ***

• Uniforms are purchased separately outside of our registration.
• Parents will receive an email upon registration with a link to the uniform store (listed below).
• All uniform orders will be sent to Arlington Attack HQ and will be distributed to parents/players before their first game by their coach or team coordinator.
• On the registration form, you will be asked to choose three (3) potential numbers for your player. We will do our best to provide you with one of these numbers, but there are no guarantees.

Indoor Practices

• Indoor practice will begin in February at Willow Hill Dome in Northbrook (1350 Willow Rd, Northbrook, IL 60062).
• Players will get several hours of skill and fundamentals training to set themselves up for success.
• Players will also be evaluated during each practice to determine the appropriate team placement by early March.
• Please attend as many practices as possible during this time to give our staff the best "look" at your player and to give your player the full value and advantage of training that is included in your registration fees.
• We do not practice during Spring Break week.

Outdoor Team Practices

After spring break, all teams will move outside for practice. The Head Coach of each team will determine which day(s)/times practices will be held and will communicate that to each team when they announce team rosters. Below is what you can expect for weekly practices, at a minimum.

• U8 Girls, U10 Girls & Mini Boys
  • One (1) team practice
  • One (1) Monday Night Skills session
• U12 Girls, U14 Girls, Junior Boys, Minor Boys, Major Boys
  • Two (2) team practices
  • One (1) Monday Night Skills session

We have practice fields at the following locations:

• Melas Park – 1500 Central Rd, Mt Prospect, IL 60056
• Patriot Park – 700 N Schoenbeck Rd, Prospect Heights, IL 60070 (Park in the south end of the Betsy Ross Elementary parking lot)
• Prairie Park – 1681 S Belmont Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60005

Outdoor Skills Practices

In addition to weekly team practice(s), Arlington Attack coordinates a weekly "Skills Development" night (typically Monday nights), where players have the opportunity to be coached by area Club and High School lacrosse coaches and players. These nights are intended to augment team practices and allow players to focus on individual stick and positional skills while being trained by experienced Club and High School lacrosse coaches and players.

Parents interested in coaching and/or current Coaches are also highly encouraged to attend these sessions. It's a great place to learn different drills and teaching techniques from experienced coaches.

Arlington Attack is a 100% volunteer-led and managed community lacrosse organization and is part of the Arlington Heights Youth Athletic Association (AHYAA) non-profit organization. We were founded in 2018 as a feeder program for Arlington Heights high schools (Hersey, Prospect, St. Viator) and surrounding District 214 communities, including Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Mt. Prospect, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows, and Wheeling. We continue to grow the sport in our community to approximately 300 youth athletes.

To support the continual growth of this fast-growing sport, WE ESPECIALLY NEED COACH VOLUNTEERS. If you have coached basketball, hockey, football, soccer, or any other team sport, you can absolutely coach lacrosse.

• HEAD COACH: Responsible for practices and games.
• ASSISTANT COACH: Assists Head Coach with practices and games.

We will set you up for success and support you throughout the season:

• In January 2026, we will host Coaching Clinics for boys' and girls' coaches.
• Our practices are structured so that you are surrounded by experienced coaches who can support you, and most practices are pre-planned, so prep work is minimal.
• This is a fun sport to coach - just because you haven't played before doesn't mean you cannot coach and make an impact.
• Additional Benefits for Coaching this Season:
  • $50 Registration Refund if you coach on a team (Refunds issued when registration closes)
  • Arlington Attack Coaches Swag
  • Paid USA Lacrosse Bronze Coaching Certification (optional, but suggested)

Not up for coaching? We still need your help:

• TEAM COORDINATOR: Under the Head Coach's direction, assist with team duties such as email communication, schedule management, and uniform distribution.
• GAME DAY SET UP: Help set up or take down the field for home games.
• TEAM SCOREKEEPER: Manage the Clock and/or Scoreboard for your player's games.
• VOLUNTEER /SPECIAL PROJECTS: Help with special projects such as Picture Day, Garage Sale, Uniform Sorting, etc. There are opportunities for weekday and weekend hours.
  As the season commences, volunteers will be contacted at appropriate times to help fulfill their volunteering duties.
